This Jacket was made from a custom fabric developed in house by the samuel zelig team. This process was very labor intensive in which every step was done by hand. When sourced, the fabric was originally used for pillow cases, curtains, and mattress covers. The Fabrics date anywhere from the mid 1800’s to early 1900’s. The fabric was then cut by hand into patches and placed in bundles to be sewn. The patches were seamed together, sewn one yard at a time until completed. The Jacket was then cut and embellished with numerous hand repairs. The Jacket was sewn with great attention to detail by a single sewer in Los Angeles.
