The Ballroom Group draws from Victorian-era masquerade balls and the visual language of masked gatherings, with references to films like Eyes Wide Shut. The artwork centers on a theatrical interior, with viewing windows, masked dancers, and intricate staircases. It also includes detailed renderings of masks worn at these events. Some pieces include the phrase “Entrance granted upon the spoken word: Nightingale,” imagined as a password required for entry into one of these balls. The focus is on the environment and the visual details that define these events.
