Details
Inspired by 1/4 zip sweatshirts from the 30's-50's, the Deli 1/4 zip is cut from 15oz loopback cotton french terry and 1x1 rib. This high quality fabric was sourced from mills in Japan with a rich history dating back to the mid 19th century. The weight is perfect; not too heavy or too light, making it an ideal piece for year round wear. To pay tribute to true vintage, our cuff and hem ribbing is cut at 3" high. It features a substantial spread collar and a riri zipper in a silver finish. All seams are finished with merrow edge overlock and double needle coverstitching, to ensure long lasting wear and durability. the interior of the collar is bound with twill tape to prevent the neck from warping. Not one detail of this piece was overlooked. This sweatshirt tells the story of a fictional deli in which the uniforms were customized by workers, friends, and family over time. The inspiration behind this piece comes from vintage collegiate attire in which numerous people would embroider their names to commemorate a graduation or momentous event. To emulate the wash of true vintage quarter zips, this garment received a slight tint to give it an authentic aged quality.
